Student stabs teacher when asked for homework

Chandigarh: A student studying in class 11, in Murthal town of Sonipat district, allegedly stabbed his teacher on Monday when asked for holiday homework copy.

The incident occurred in Rama Krishna senior secondary school of Bhutan village. The school had reopened after the summer vacation.

Mukesh Kumari, the teacher who was badly injured by the three deep stabs in the stomach has been hospitalised in civil hospital of Sonipat from where she was further referred to BMS medical college and hospital.

The school principal Neeraj Tyagi and the teacher were the first to reach the spot. The accused student who tried to escape from the spot was overpowered by another teacher and the principal rushed Mukesh to hospital.

A case of attempt to murder has been registered on the student and the student is taken into custody, confirms the SHO of Murthal police station.
