Sharing is caring!

New Delhi: After the Pulwama attack, Pakistan is now trying to reduce the tension on the border due to the Indian Air attack, the diplomatic pressure and due to their military’s action on the counter response on Line of Actual Control. The Pakistan Army is ready to withdraw its own special service group from Line of Control. Pakistan also said that the use of gun weapons will be stopped. However, the Indian response to Pakistan’s offers will depend on the basis of reports of the Field Commanders after obtaining a ground assessment. Pakistan had deployed the unit due to tension caused at the border after 40 CRPF soldiers lost their lives in the Pulwama attack in India. But India had already taken the necessary precautions at the LoC and was fully prepared prior to the Airstrike.

The Pakistan Army has temporarily closed the terrorists’ launchpads from the LoC area. According to the sources, the terror launching pads on Pakistan side of the LoC i.e opposite border districts of Poonch and Rajouri, have gone empty for the past few days and it showed that Pakistan was now unable to meet the pressure buildup by the Indian troops as well as the world powers on terrorism. But India has made it clear that preventing terrorism and infiltration is the only path to peace. The talks happening between Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) have dropped enough hints that Pakistan was unable to bear the might of the Indian Army on the LoC including very high costs of deployment of troops on the border.

After the counterattack of India on the Jaish-e-Mohammed training camp in Balakot after the Pulawama attack, the stress on the LOC had increased drastically. Indian troops have given a very rigid response to the firing opened by Pakistan troops on the border area. Indian Military officials said that Pakistan has suffered 5-6 times more loss than India.

After the Pulwama attack, not only the military but also the diplomatic pressure on Pakistan has increased. Nations like America, Russia, France, including Pakistan’s friend nation China have reproached Pakistan. Masood Azhar has been declared a World Terrorist by the United Nations Security Council, and Pakistan is currently in the FATF’s gray list. Pakistan is at risk of joining the blacklist at any moment. In such a situation, the volatile economy may end up eliminating the possibility of obtaining loans from the IMF.

Before the monsoon, the Indian army takes up the task of repairing their bunkers on the LoC, which is a routine annual exercise conducted by the Indian troops ahead of Monsoon in order to keep bunkers intact to survive torrential rains. Previously, the Pakistan army used to open firing on the Indian Army soldiers repairing the bunkers. Every time, Pakistan Army used to create obstacles in this work. However, so far, they haven’t done anything and considered to remain silent.
