Vikas Swaroop appointed as Secretary of Overseas Indian Affairs

New Delhi: According to an order issued by the Personnel Ministry on Friday, a senior diploma Vikas Swaroop, has been selected as a Secretary of Overseas Indian Affairs.

Vikas Swaroop who is a 1986-batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service, is presently India’s High Commissioner in Ottawa.

The order said that he has been appointed as Secretary(consular, passport, visa and overseas Indian affairs) in External affairs ministry in effect from 1st August 2019.
