Lahore: At least 14 people were reported to be killed and 79 injured in a train collision on Thursday. The Quetta Bound Akbar express collided with the stationary train of Pakistan’s Punjab province, officials said.
All the injured people are taken to the hospital. Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yaar Khan, Jamil Ahmed Jamil said that all the passengers in the train headed to Quetta have been removed from the train and track clearance operations were underway.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed hid deep sorrow towards the victims and asked Railways Minister to take emergency steps.
