New Delhi: India has conveyed its requirements for Russia’s S-400 missile defence system to the American side during the recent visit of secretary Mike Pompeo to New Delhi, the Government told the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.
Minister of states for external affairs, V Murleedharan said, “Our requirements for the S-400 defence system has been conveyed to the U.S. side, including during the visit of US secretory of state to India. Whether the transaction is significant for section 231 of CAATSA on a case-by-case basis or not, will be determined by the US Department of state”
India will start receiving missile systems from Russia from October from next year and the deliveries will be completed by April 2023, said the Indian Government earlier.
